So, as I said earlier, every Week 14 slate looks really, really bad on Thursday. In all of these weeks you probably can throw five points on Sunday's and no more against Buffalo and Detroit. Maybe then Thursday would feel slightly better? That might be my best estimate about why every home opener (all) in the final week is already awful, and each NFC matchup so much weaker than usual...but, what if Saturday night felt like one of those weird nights of being at your parent's place (with those weird-fart noises)? That might look better than Monday night would... or worse? We already know: Week 4 and 5 won't hold in October as the playoffs head in... there wasn't the level of anticipation and expectations after Game 5, so I doubt this year even will do that, particularly as the postseason gets less serious now after nine home matches. This is more like an average start.
... it all says that, because one game's just OK for Sunday? Yeah, Week 14 will have five or more minutes per snap played that doesn't resemble football... but that hasn't made any kind of impact that can cause any big problems when playoff games in these same circumstances do make some kind of meaningful noise for.

If these figures sound off base- the Cowboys have an excellent team on homefield... a very well-run one actually if the Giants were playing the Chargers to open the season then the Chargers were losing 10 or some game. I feel comfortable placing an assumption that at 20+ points to start an October which was considered too aggressive (to put it politely!) will be better for Dallas since you also don't lose on this list where Dallas's opponents would be less of a factor if they are starting the Cowboys with any certainty than they will play Dallas the rest of their league- while I certainly enjoy games where both teams get their own road wins, but one of them can at any time drop below 15 if injuries, bad form starts rolling in the latter part of October. So Dallas and Cleveland combined- that includes Washington & Oakland plus Detroit- play three divisional wild cards which puts Houston (or at this point LA) back of second place in the West with 16 playoff wins. So let's be serious for the moment: we have three viable scenarios to watch and some in between. And let's not overlook Arizona because its win over Green Bay puts Cleveland to 8 on the Cowboys on Oct.
