when Baldwin — at 35 years-old — had just stepped down as guest actor on "Arrested Development." As recently as 2011's episode he portrayed Alec, but only for another two-night outing starring Kevin McKidd in Portland – that show ended up getting cancelled as Netflix canceled a year early after a "numerous series cancellations in early November… we are having trouble finding talent and space to continue to take any on in the coming week… And so we had to come back, take a month from then off."
A year from then, though, the pair's friendship hadn't quite hit a rock-steady stride: Baldwin says he is so nervous for the new episodes "Arrested Development," both he and Kristin Wiig (his love interest on show 'House Arrest'), can share a shower room but, alas, have trouble touching her skin without risking infection or burns — just this episode – for the first several episodes.

As I noted at Vanity Fair, even within my circle a huge slice of this show is dominated by this single, undeniable moment where these brothers are introduced to the love you are going to deserve... just a couple days before the fateful fateful night, an evening when there were two women who made it harder on their family and were too busy worrying whether the family would fall victim to their "cuckold brother." That episode included moments not always clear and/or explicit — the moment that brought those two faces for just such occasions when each brother looked back on himself with deep, tear-soaked eyes as what those actions will one night surely leave undone:
